Good credit is not required. If you've been turned down for financing on a car or don't qualify for a mortgage, that doesn't mean you won't qualify for a LendUp Loan. Part of the company's mission is to help those with credit issues rehabilitate their credit rating over time (where available). LendUp offers cash when you need it, without creating that endless debt cycle that so many lenders facilitate with rollover balances and increasing fee structures. And with the LendUp Ladder, we strive to provide a path for customers in eligible states to move up and earn access to apply for more money at a lower cost. See The LendUp Ladder for details.
Let’s do the math. If you can save just $3 a day and put that into a savings account, you will have over $1,000 in one year. Take a look at your regular daily expenses and figure out where you can cut out small charges that will barely affect your daily life but will add up to big savings in the long run. Do you stop into coffee shops to buy $5 lattes everyday? Choose to make coffee at home or just get a simple cup of coffee when you stop for your morning joe. A latte a day habit equates to $1,825 a year!
Everyone’s situation is different. You’ll need to sit down and look at your personal situation to decide where you can cut back and what you can do to earn more cash. It seems overwhelming at first but consider this: if you can save just $3 a day, that equates to over $1,000. If you can cut back on your spending just $3 a day, you can put that money into a savings account that you can drawn from in case of an emergency - eliminating the need for a fast cash loan. If you go the year without a financial emergency, you’ll have $1,000 to put toward other debt that is holding you back or to spend on something you’ve been dreaming about. Small changes can add up to big rewards.

Loans that can be paid off within a few months or years are generally referred to as short-term. These loans can be used to pay for emergency expenses like medical bills, home maintenance etc. Long-term installment loans, such as mortgages, are generally paid in 20 to 30 years depending on the loan amount and the repayment term. Unlike most short-term installment loans, long-terms loans are usually secured and requires you to pledge a collateral.
For accounts you already have open, keep the revolving balances around 30% of the credit limit. This is the optimal ratio for a good credit score. But do not open a bunch of new credit cards just to increase your limit as this approach can backfire and actually lower your score. Slow and steady is the best route. Pay off debt rather than moving it around and do not close unused credit cards because the longer you have a credit card the better it is for your score.
